Where do I find the resolve to face 2021?

If you are reading this blog it means that you have survived 2020, and that is a substantial achievement in itself. A moments silence in respect of those who have succumbed…

Looking back to January 1st 2020, who could have imagined that so many would not make it to another New Year. The message for all of us survivors is not to take life for granted. Do not leave for tomorrow what you can do today. Live life to the fullest, rebuild bridges that you have previously burned. Do not let pride and ego stand in the way of forgiving or asking for forgiveness. What does it cost you to apologize? Regrets are a luxury you cannot afford when it is too late.

The virus does not only take lives, it also robs one of the quality of life by creating economic challenges. However, man as a race is resilient and will survive. The question is, will you as an individual survive? In the face of such daunting mortality the chances of survival seem bleak, but in reality the chance is that you will survive, so be prepared to pay your taxes next year!

However, surviving the virus is not the theme of this blog. Do not bemoan your current situation, know that the reason you have survived this far is to appreciate your gift of life. The realization that the most precious things in life cannot be bought, like a beautiful sunset or spending quality time with your kids. Share your gift of life by focusing outwards and work to make the world a better place for the less fortunate. Do not make grand plans for the future, you be the plan.

Do NOT make a resolution for the New Year. Live one day at a time and make a resolution each morning to make someone happy that day. This is the most precious gift you can give to yourself!

Wishing you a HAPPY EVERYDAY!!
